Downtown Huntsville has a FABULOUS new art gallery! I am so happy to be opening my fourth art gallery in my 28-year career in the arts. With the fabulous evolution that Clinton Row in downtown Huntsville has experienced the past five years, and with the economy more favorable than it was when I closed my last gallery in Athens, Alabama 7 years ago, I decided to do it again. The gallery is small, intimate, lively, filled with nice tunes and a lovely scent–making the art come to life. Sit in a comfy chair next to me and get to know the stories behind the paintings. Each one has one. My favorite part of being a painter and having a venue to share and show my work is relishing in people’s responses to my art. They are varied and uniquely individual.
What do I plan to do in this space? Besides showing my work, I will show a guest artist’s work as well. My identical twin sister, Claire Kayser, will be a resident artist. She works from her home studio in Chicago. We get together from time to time and teach together and are known for our creative journeys to Italy. I plan to invite other artists to show in the gallery with me as well. Several artist friends seem to be interested in that, and I can’t wait to be able to showcase their work for them. Also, I will continue to offer art instruction through workshops and weekly classes. Those will begin in January of 2019. Always check my website for new offerings as well as connecting with me on Facebook and Instagram. I look forward to seeing new and old friends and serving the Huntsville community. I want to always be there to remind you, your life is art!
