“King of Kings” is a small piece in the gallery that helps celebrate this very season of Lent. That my spirituality is woven through all that I do–and paint is an understatement. I credit God almighty for giving me the gift of seeing life through the magnificent lens of an artist. More than some people, I can see beauty in almost everything. That quality serves to inspire me at all times through the multitude of my experiences. When I’m driving through the hills, beauty captures my attention. If I am in conversation with you, I take your face in with all it’s uniqueness. God looks at His Creation that way too. He calls us to such presence with Him so that we too can experience the joy of all the beauty there is to behold in this world. Painting religious themes is my way of trying to express my love back to our God.
About this painting, King of Kings–it represents Jesus in a kingly stature, perhaps sitting at the right hand of God. It is a small piece–10″ x 4″ (and framed in a custom floater frame)…this is the stained glass window in the church I sing in. The Church of the Nativity in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. It has captured my gaze many times as we, the choir, turn to face the alter during a service. It has become a favorite of mine over the years. Should you be interested in this piece, it is available in the gallery at the HC Blake Art & History Center to see and purchase. Of course, now, you can make the transaction right here and have it delivered or shipped. To see more art, see caroleforet.com.
